What PDTL does

PDTL protects the folders you choose by copying them to private cloud storage, and brings them back when you need them. It runs on your Windows computer, keeps track of what it has already sent, and only transfers what is new or has changed.

There is no cloud account for you to open, no storage contract to negotiate and no console to learn. The subscription covers the storage, and the application covers the rest.

Who it is for

Individuals and families with photographs and documents they cannot replace. Small businesses with client records, accounts and project archives, and no IT department to run a backup regime. The product is the same for both, because the problem is the same for both.

How we think about it

Backup software earns its keep on one day, and that day is usually a bad one. So we would rather it were dull and dependable than clever. It should tell you plainly what it has protected, admit plainly when something has failed, and never give you a comforting figure it cannot stand behind.

That principle runs through the product. Where PDTL does not yet do something, it says so instead of implying otherwise — on this website as much as in the application.
